William Hunt-Tyrell departs on Saturday, September 1st for the World Long Drive Championship in Oklahoma in the United Sates which takes place on September 3rd and 4th next.

A native of Arklow, William travelled up to The Kinsealy Grange Golf Academy to slip in a little coaching and practice in order to get his Trackman statistics with his 4 degree loft or 5 degree, 48 inch, XXX stiff drivers to see which delivered the optimum result. It was an early start to get to The Kinsealy Grange for a 7.30 start but William felt that it was worth the sleepless morning in order to take advantage of the golf centre’s facilities.

William qualified in the over 45 category when he hit a drive of 368 yards in the UK in August this year.

The Kinsealy Grange staff would like to wish William al the best in the competition in September.

The Kinsealy Grange, since it opened in 2007, has worked to establish itself in the number 1 spot for golf training and practice in The Greater Dublin area. With 42 well maintained bays on two levels, it is sheltered from the prevailing wind, facilitating practice for individual golfers of all ages, groups and team panels across 12 months of the year.
